Dino Beganovic is an official Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy member striving for Formula 1. He races for DAMS Lucas Oil in the 2026 FIA Formula 2 Championship.

Dino Beganovic was born on 19 January 2004 in Landeryd, Sweden.
From when he was a little boy, he showed his class in karting, with two Swedish titles already to his name and a second place in the WSK Euro Series in 2019.

In 2020 he made his single-seater debut in the competitive Italian Formula 4 Championship with the Prema Powerteam and impressed with the speed at which he got to grips with it. He took his first pole position in the second round of the season and the first win came at the demanding Imola track. He finished fourth in the championship and for 2021, he stayed with the same team, moving up to the European Formula Regional series. To get know the car before the start of the season, he took part in the early races of the F3 Asian series with Abu Dhabi Team by Prema, securing four podium finishes.

He made steady progress in the European Formula Regional championship, taking his first pole position in the final race of the year at Monza and his first podium-second place- came at the penultimate round in Mugello. Again at Monza, he was leading Race 2 until two laps from the end when he was hit by another car, which robbed him of what would have been his first win.

For 2022, he continued in this category with the same team, taking the title with a dominant performance that included four wins, a further eight podium finishes, four pole positions and two fastest laps. In 2023, he moved up to Formula 3, again with the Prema team. He made good progress, but was also unlucky at times, which affected his final score. After three podium finishes in Bahrain, Monaco and Barcelona, an engine problem at Silverstone unfortunately compromised his season and he eventually finished sixth in the standings, with one further podium in Hungary.

In 2024, Dino started off in Formula 3 with Prema Racing, putting in consistent performances as he continued to progress. He won in Melbourne and Spa-Francorchamps and finished on the podium several times to end the standings. This earned him an early taste of Formula 2 with the DAMS team at the end of the season. Dino adapted well to the new more powerful car and his speed and maturity were impressive, culminating in a podium finish in the penultimate round in Abu Dhabi, in preparation for a full Formula 2 season in 2025 with the Hitech Grand Prix team.

In 2025, he finished seventh in the standings, with one win in Baku along with four top-three finishes. He also made his first official Formula 1 appearances with Scuderia Ferrari HP, driving Charles Leclerc’s car in the first free practice sessions in Bahrain and Austria.

“I’ve already met my hero, Charles Leclerc. One day, I want to be like him: racing for Ferrari in Formula 1. Until then, I have a long and difficult road ahead, but I will walk it one step at a time. Coping with inevitable disappointments will be key – the good days are the easy ones – but I intend to learn from every mistake, as well as every success. I am privileged to have some truly great people around me, and I know I have been given an amazing chance. I will give my all to make the most of it.“

I am Dino Beganovic. Thanks for taking an interest in my passion!
