The University Clinical Center Tuzla hosted the presentation of the “Knowledge Transfer from Diaspora Experts to BiH” program, implemented by the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among the engaged experts was Prof. Dr. Eldin Karaiković, orthopedic and spinal surgeon, long-time BHAAAS member and former president.

During his visit, Prof. Dr. Karaiković shared his expertise through operative work, direct consultations with physicians, and patient evaluation and treatment planning. Together with local spinal surgeons, he participated in performing six complex spinal procedures, enabling hands-on knowledge transfer and strengthening surgical skills at UKC Tuzla. Physicians at UKC Tuzla emphasized that such visits bring significant value both to patients and to young doctors who have the opportunity to learn from top experts from the Bosnian diaspora.

BHAAAS is extremely proud of its members whose expertise, dedication, and professional commitment contribute to strengthening the healthcare system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For many years, our organization has actively participated in knowledge-transfer programs, and our broad network of diaspora professionals continues to build bridges of collaboration and enhance the capacities of healthcare institutions throughout BiH.
