Hosted at Zilker Brewing Company & Taproom, the event brought together and diverse group of Bosnian-Herzegovinian professionals working across software engineering, AI and data science, semiconductors, energy, consulting, venture capital, and the startup ecosystem. Many attendees are building their careers at companies such as Tesla, Dell Technologies, Oracle, IBM, Apple, and a range of innovative technology and advisory firms that define Austin as one of the world’s leading innovation hubs.

What stood out most was the depth of conversation, from professional journeys and leadership lessons to ideas on how we can strengthen ties with Bosnia & Herzegovina while continuing to grow globally. The meetup reinforced the importance of creating consistent spaces where our diaspora can connect, collaborate, and support one another.

A special thank you goes to Amir Memic for his local support in helping us organize the Austin gathering, and to everyone who attended and contributed to such a positive and forward-looking evening.

Austin once again proved that when our community comes together, powerful networks and new opportunities naturally follow. Thank you to our partners GIS People / Gruntify, whose ongoing support helps us bring together talent, technology, and purpose across borders. GIS People is an Australian social enterprise focused on geospatial (GIS) solutions and digital transformation, while Gruntify provides digital platforms that streamline field operations and data collection for organizations worldwide.
