On January 29th 2026, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Futures Foundation proudly hosted its first-ever Bosnia and Herzegovina Professionals Meetup in Phoenix, Arizona, a milestone moment for our growing community in the southwestern United States.

Held in a warm, welcoming setting, the meetup brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, and community leaders connected by a shared heritage and a shared desire to give back. It was an evening defined by meaningful conversations, new connections, and a strong sense of purpose—exactly what BH Futures Foundation stands for.

This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of our dear friend Ali Kozlica, who served as the local point of contact and driving force behind making this meetup a reality. As our first gathering in this part of the United States, Phoenix presented both an exciting opportunity and a logistical challenge, and Ali stepped up wholeheartedly.

Ali’s commitment, energy, and belief in the mission of BH Futures Foundation ensured that our community in Arizona felt seen, included, and connected. On behalf of the entire BHFF team, we extend our deepest thanks for his leadership and generosity.

We are also sincerely grateful to our sponsor companies, whose support enabled us to host this event and bring our community together in such a meaningful way. Their backing reflects a shared belief in the power of diaspora engagement, professional networking, and long-term investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s future. This event is proudly sponsored by Easy Financing LLC and Babyface, whose support enables us to bring together our community and create meaningful opportunities for connection, collaboration, and future engagement.

Your support goes beyond a single evening, it strengthens a global ecosystem of people committed to positive change.

A highlight of the evening was a short address by Amar Eminović, a BH Futures Foundation alumnus, who spoke passionately about the Foundation’s mission and impact. Amar introduced attendees to the wide array of BHFF activities across Bosnia and Herzegovina, from youth leadership and mentorship programs, to research support, skills development, and diaspora-driven initiatives that empower the next generation.

His words resonated strongly with the audience, many of whom were learning for the first time about the depth and breadth of BHFF’s work in our homeland.

A Diverse and Inspiring Community

What made the Phoenix meetup truly special was the diversity of people in the room. Attendees came from a wide range of professional backgrounds, including:

  • Engineering and technology
  • Healthcare and life sciences
  • Academia and research
  • Finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship
  • IT, data, and digital innovation

They represented companies, startups, universities, and institutions from across Arizona and beyond—each bringing unique experiences, perspectives, and ideas. The conversations throughout the evening reflected a shared openness to collaboration, mentorship, and future engagement with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We are deeply thankful to everyone who took the time to attend, connect, and support BH Futures Foundation in Phoenix. This meetup marked the beginning of a new regional chapter in our global community, and we are excited about what lies ahead.

Phoenix has shown us, once again, that the Bosnia and Herzegovina diaspora is strong, diverse, and united by a desire to contribute.

Thank you for being part of this journey. More meetups, collaborations, and opportunities are coming soon.
